81% of Parents Are Using AI

A recent study found that 81% of parents are using AI to help with daily tasks.
Now regardless of how you feel about AI, I thought I’d share what the most common ways that people are using it right now so that you can make your life a little bit easier.
How Parents are Using AI:
Health or medical information (53%)
Parents are using AI for symptom exploration, preparing for doctor visits, and clarifying terms they don’t understand. Katey and I have used AI so many times this first year to fast track research about our son’s health.
Meal planning or grocery lists (49%)
Not only are parents using this for grocery lists, but they also use AI to adapt to picky eaters, use what’s left in their fridge and figure out ways to save money at the grocery store.
Schedules(42%)
Parents use AI for schedules by extracting dates from school flyers, automating calendar entry, and organizing daily logistics. They save time by letting AI read unstructured text and turn it into functional plans.
Planning activities/crafts (37%)
Katey and I just did this. I told ChatGPT where we live and how old our kid is and asked for ideas for free fun in September on the weekend. It spit out so many great ideas that will help us plan out our weekends.
Time For Your Annual Negotiaion
I saved $1,164 negotiating this weekend.
When’s the last time you negotiated the bills you have set to auto-pay?
Also, setting your bills to auto-pay is a great way to lower your bills.
It costs a lot of money to acquire a customer, so companies will often pay money to keep you.
Saturday, I called AT&T our service provider, because I saw our bill was now $80 per month, just for internet!
I told them I had gotten something in the mail from Spectrum offering the same service for $35/mo.
Boom - they dropped the price to $60/mo. I feel like that’s a win.
Then I used Jerry to shop around for insurance
We were spending $163/mo - I was able to get it down t $86/mo.
In total - $97/mo or $1,164 over the next year. And it took me about an hour.

This is for 6 months*
1,208 new U.S. millionaires minted every day last year(441,078 in total) according to a new UBS report.
That’s almost half the new millionaires globally in 2025 and brings the U.S. to more than 23.6 million … millionaires.
That’s more than the rest of the top 10 countries combined.
Is Tech Sales Right For You?

I spent 10 years working tech sales.
It can be an incredibly defeating job, but is the fastest career to making six figures in my opinion. In fact, when I left I was on track to make almost $400k/yr.
I wanted to share more info about what an entry level sales role entails. It’s the hardest and worst part of the sales journey in my opinion.
What Would Your Day Look Like
9:00 - 11:00 - Prospecting:
Prospecting involves researching companies and identifying potential leads. It's the process of finding and nurturing new sales opportunities. You'll gather important information about these companies, and strategize how to approach them. If you love detective work and strategizing, you'll enjoy this part of your day.
11:00 - 1:00 - Cold Calling:
Cold calling is a fundamental skill in tech sales. This involves making phone calls to individuals in your outreach that you haven't had any prior interaction with. It's a direct way of introducing your product or service, understanding their needs, and identifying how your solution might be of value to them.
1:30 - 3:30 - Outreach:
Your day requires sending personalized outreach messages via email and LinkedIn. This form of communication is more tailored, offering an opportunity to connect with prospects on a deeper level, build relationships, and understand their unique needs.
3:30 - 4:30 - Discovery Calls:
During these calls, you'll ask qualifying questions to understand the prospect's business, their pain points, and how your solution might help. This is your chance to demonstrate the value of your product and how it can solve their challenges. This is different from cold calls, because they have scheduled time with you.
4:30 - 5:00 - Follow Ups
Follow-ups is just making afternoon calls to people you’ve made contact with already. It's an opportunity to keep your product or service top of mind, answer any additional questions they might have, and move the sales process forward. Being persistent and responsive in your follow-ups is required for closing deals.
When Is It Time To Switch CPAs?

Not all CPAs are created equal and if your finances have changed over the past few years, your tax strategy should too.
Here are four signs it might be time for a change:
1. They only talk to you during tax season. Great CPAs help you plan year-round, not just file paperwork in April. When’s the last time you spoke to your CPA?
2. Your tax bill keeps getting bigger. While no one can eliminate taxes entirely, your CPA should be looking for legal ways to reduce what you owe.
3. They never bring you new ideas. Tax laws change constantly. If you haven't heard a new strategy in years, that's a red flag. What’s the last idea your CPA brought you?
4. They don't understand your situation. Whether you've started a business, invested in real estate, or your income has grown, you need someone who specializes in your needs.
That's why I partnered with Gelt.
They can connect you with a tax professional who will take a fresh look at your situation and help you determine if you're paying more than you need to.
You don't have to stay with the same CPA just because it's familiar. A second opinion could save you thousands.
That’s it for this week.
As always, if I can ever be helpful, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Best,
Dan
